Da Vinci Code

Darling asked me to write about Da Vinci Code. Err.. dun really know how to start or what to write. We catched it on the first day of screening. Mom told me earlier that the movie would not be censored. Then i was thinking are there scenes to cut?... then it came to me.. Silas and his self-flagellation (darling was admiring paul bettany's fit form.. hehe). Or course they wouldn't dream of leaving that scene out... go figure!

Read the book last year but forgot parts of it. And as the story unfolded, it all slowly came back to me. In the movie it seemed all too easy the way Langdon and Neveu cracked the codes, unlike the impression i got from the book. Ron Howard did a good job in squeezing the movie in 2hr+. But i thought the book did reveal in the end that that were Sophie's grandma and brother - no mention of her brother in the movie though. Don't have the book now with me to refer. A friend borrowed it to buat jeruk.. he's not reading it as yet but wanted to read it cos it's such a hit! Duhh!

People are willing to read and believe Dan Brown. Who is he lar?! He even got his so-called facts wrong. And regarding "The Last Supper". It was only a painting by leonardo. Full stop. Even if it was drawn in such a way, it still doesn't mean a thing. But i'm viewing all this in a positive way, that this would spark interest in reading and wanting to know the Bible.

caught the movie sat evening.. felt like it was rushing through the book and do not give the same suspense and intensity that the book gave... for me, i think the movie would be pretty boring had i not read the book... anyways, was not expecting alot frm such over-hyped movie... ;p

Haha, my friend was sayin': Shoot, I should not have read the book! I can't help but compare the movie to it!
Guess she had better memory than I did!
