Now and then
The morning show deejays were talking about the difference with our country then and now. Maklumlar, our merdeka day is just around the corner. In my humble opinion, certain things of course are different now for the better, while others not quite...
We now have more rude and uncivilised road users.
People generally are also more rude, self-centred and selfish.
Crime rates are much higher now.
Education has gone to the drains. Most graduates cannot or don't have the confidence to string a proper sentence in English. A pity really. And then there's the story of major unemployment among graduates.
Oh, we have our own national cars. *wink*
Of course i'm thankful for pay tv.
At times the rich will only get richer and the poor will remain poor.
Credit not given when due, so pls don't complaint when the 'brainies' leave for greener pasture elsewhere.
But... we still do put on good national day shows / parades. *smiley*
*disclaimer: read it as it is, - there is no hidden meaning, tq.

P.S. We do not have to place ballots (or bid for it..whatever they have to do!) for tickets to the National Day Parade.
We could always go to the Padang and join in the festivities!
I'm thankful to be a Malaysian!
yea man.. but then again when was the last time we actually go watch the parade??? kecik-kecik got lar, now.. nah.. just switch on the tv!
An example in Melaka...... Mahkota Parade THEN - spankin' new, THE shopping mall of Melaka, Mahkota Parade NOW - run-down facilities, zero-maintenance, old paint, musty smells, 'Monkeys' peeing at every nook and corner of the mall, not forgetting making-out as well!!...
They're just starting to 'take care' of Mahkota Parade cos got big time competitor across the road very soon!.. about time!
LOL. And not to mention the 'revamped' Kota Mas LOL!
Wonder how long will Kota Mas II last this time?
They seriously need lessons in Maintenance & awareness that Buildings don't 'Wolverine' themselves as the years go by!
