Dah-la salah, buat bodoh pulak
She has just parked and was about to alight from her car when the occupants from the next car returned. So she waited patiently for them to enter and leave before actually getting out from her car. Thud!! "There we go again," she quietly thought to herself. She turned to the family of three (small boy - the culprit, mom/grandma, dad/brother).All seemed busy fussying themselves into the car, while trying hard not to look her way. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt - with their permanent blinkers on, they probably didn't notice her in the car. So she opened her door lightly. Suprise, surprise, still no reaction from the guilty party. That's it! She got out and lashed out, "Dah kena pun tak minta maaf". Then only the mom/grandma turned (her one-million-dollar-turn) and said, "Sorry larr!" (her one-million-dollar-apology). Oh, how sweet the sound of sincerity! Goodness! Bodoh sombong. It's as if her fault or like she was asking gold from them! Ridiculous!
Is it so prideful just to admit to one's own mistake? It's not about the dent or the mark, but just own up to your mistake. Not admiting is more repulsive that the act itself. Isn't it a natural reaction to turn and say sorry? It's not that difficult, it just needs practice practice practice to turn it into a habit. Go on don't be shy, try it!
