Those good old days
Just met up with two old pals from schooling days Kav and Soon. Mostly we were reminiscing on the good old days, our friends then and now, fun times at tuition,... isn't that what we twenty-somethings do when we meet up with our childhood-buddies?We ended our little get-together by promising that we'll make a trip somewhere (it started with Pulau Tioman and ended up in Bali!) early Dec (actually they said better have fun somewhere before i get married! haha!!). Yes, i know Dec's a peak period and all, but Kav's got exams till mid Sept, and there's Deepavali in Oct.. we'll see cos the flight to Bali then is about rm350+. Not cheap. Gotta save money for wedding mar!! *wink*
We also realise that the best buddies are still our school friends, we were innocent and befriended everybody without grudge or hidden agenda. Next comes uni mates, all those years in campus far away from home creates that special bond. And now working, friends somehow are different. Perhaps there are one or two out of ten colleagues that we can actually call our friend. I guess when colleagues get together we tend to talk more about work and nothing else! But when u start chatting about other things (esp when on the phone) then u'll know that it's time to upgrade that colleague to friend status.
