The silent treatment
Both of them were eating quitely. He was concentrating hard on his food, while she, well, she was focusing on the newspaper and her food. Then her mobile came to life, and she answered the call. That was the only time i heard her speak. Then it was his turn with the papers and soon after he left the table for a smoke outside, leaving her eating quietly.This was not the first time i've seen couples behaving this way. Together physically but not enjoying each other's company. I for one definitely wouldn't want to end up like these people.
