On the 3rd day of cny...

The reunion with my primary school mates was a blast. Of course the initial re-introduction was a tad awkward, but everybody got warmer as we started reminiscing the good old days. We realised that we still have that little girl in us. And we also didn't change much (look-wise), as we could easily recognise one another. We left promising to be in touch more often.

then...

... and now

And to top off an already great afternoon, i had a brush with this new celebrity couple... Andrew and Syeon, of course from TARA!! They were down for the cny visiting his relatives (apparently from Melaka), and were nice and friendly. Unfortunately the rest of my mates didn't follow the race.

hey, it's Andrew & Syeon! :D

Happy CNY!!!

Today is the 3rd day of the year of the boar. Just finished counting my angpow collection (unlike those days where i would count on an hourly basis! haha!). This would be the last year i'm receiving them red packets! Certain relatives reminded me of that too, not to mention that it'll be my turn to give to their young ones next yr!

Yes, cny is also a time where we'll also meet certain relatives... those that we meet only once a year... those insignificant ones (like the saying goes - we can't choose our relatives but thank God we can choose our friends!!). Some of them will interogate you with questions like "So no boy/girlfriend arr" (for those singles), "So when you getting married?" (for those attached singles), "So what is your boy/girlfriend doing?".. etc.. perhaps some genuinely wants to know but others are just kpc (exactly what they're supposed to be).

This is also when we'll have reunions with old school friends. These are fun moments where we get updates on everybody and reminisce those fine times in school. And shortly i'll be going for a gathering with some primary school friends, some of whom i've not seen since primary school (thanks to Friendster - yea believe it!)! Kinda excited.. some already with kids. Wonder whether we're still the same or trying to outdo one another on who's doing better etc (u know lar what will happen when some girls get-together *eyes rolling*). Well, it all boils down also on one's confidence level.

I'm on leave this whole week. So i gotta make good use of every minute of the day as this will be the last long holidays i have... sigh... wedding preparation..!

The Five People You Meet in Heaven

This is my first book by Mitch Albom, and a good one too. A beautiful story about Eddie who dies thinking he accomplished nothing during his time on earth. He goes through the journey in heaven, beginning with meeting five people that influenced his life in one way or another. His 'adventure' ends with him being in his heaven. The idea of heaven here is as how as we like it and will remain forever and ever as that. The story tells that no matter how insignificant you feel you are, there are people out there who are inspired or changed by you. Life is great. So live it to the fullest.

Next on the list will be Tuesdays with Morrie, and For One More Day (waiting for the paperback version).

p/s: This my first completed book for 2007. Another book and i'll reached the average book-per-malaysian-per-year! Yay, what an acheivement!!! ;p
