Wedding post-mortem
Kor's wedding is just around the corner. And i was just reflecting on my own wedding, and wondering what would i change if i were to have it all over again...1. Cheemuis - the chipsmore kind. Hello, it is the bride's day!
2. My hand bouquet - was disappointed when i first set my eyes on it, but i tried hard to love it, really!
3. Should have wore the cheongsam first and then change into the saree for the dinner. Now the former is still hanging in the closet and dunno when i'll get to wear it,.. err not to mention if able to fit in it, ever!
But all in all, it was a wonderful wedding :D Thanks dear!!!

The wonders of HK
Was in HK for a short visit to hubby dear 2wks+ back. A little apprehensive at first with tis being my first time travelling abroad alone and pregnant, but it turned out ok (minus the vomiting in the ferry to Macau! euuii!). What did i enjoy most about HK, besides the short and precious reunion with hubby, would be the shopping.. and the food, though there are many more local delicacies yet to be discovered by yours truly (must brush-up on my Cantonese first!).What i discovered... (and more)
To walk fast (even if you were lugging a 2tonne bag) or else you might get pushed or worst get trampled lest you were to fall.
Order your food carefully. If you can't speak the language, point to the picture or something... If you think you've ordered meal A and the waitress got it as meal B, then you'll just be getting the latter.
Lots of walking here, including uphill hike (some steep ones too).
Not a good place if you are claustrophobic.
Queue moves fast - ppl are quite efficient.
They can be racist too. Doesn't really surprise me cos even in a multiracial setting ppl can be racist, what more in a country where one race dominates.
Ppl are rude and selfish. Typical.
Overall, i enjoyed my short stay there. Of course mainly due to spending valuable moments with hubby dear. The next time i'm there i'm hoping to be equipped with a better Cantonese! I better!!

A traumatic lunch
Had the most awful tasting nasi goreng kampung today. The rice was soggy and tasteless (tasted almost like the perencah maggi mee - yucks). The saving grace would have be the chili padi and the tomato ketchup on top of a slice of almost-wrinkled cucumber. Mental note - never to have fried rice there (of whatever type).. ever again! The first and the last!
